Lab 6 Remix - Paired Samples Worksheet
Important!
You must answer fully both of the research questions.
You must use the Downey-Infer method, the CI method, and a traditional approach as shown in the rehearses.
You must use the appropriate method worksheet for the solution to each question.
Do not submit the Lab 6 Remix Student Name worksheet for this lab.
Your company has developed a data literacy training program for new employees. To evaluate the training program, you give a class of new employees a test on basic data literacy before and after they complete the training course. You want to know if the training program improves new employee data literacy. You will decide that it does if the mean score on the post test is substantially greater than the mean score on the pre test.
For this research question, you will work with the
quiz_scores.csv
data set which is in your Posit Cloud Lab 6
workspace in the /data folder.
Question: What type of hypothesis test will this require? In which Lab 6 Rehearse was this type of hypothesis test explained?
Choose the appropriate worksheet and use it to complete this question.
You are beginning a job search because you have just completed your degree in Human Resource Management. You are open to moving somewhere in the United States that has the best pay for HR managers. You utilize one of the online employment portals and gather data from salaries for open HR manager positions. You will use the results of this analysis to decide if there is a substantial difference in the average salaries for HR managers in five regions in the US. If there is a difference, you want to know which region has the highest average salary for HR managers.
For this research question, you will work with the
hrsalary.csv
data set which is in your Posit Cloud Lab 6
workspace in the /data folder.
Question: What type of hypothesis test will this require? In which Lab 6 Rehearse was this type of hypothesis test explained?
Choose the appropriate worksheet and use it to complete this question.
Important
When you are ready to create your final Lab 6 Remix lab report, knit each of your two method of analysis worksheet documents to PDF or Word to make reproducible files. This image shows you how to select the knit document file type.
If you cannot knit to either a Word or PDF file, and you cannot fix it, just save the completed worksheets and submit your R markdown file(s) for partial credit. Those files have a .Rmd file extension after the name.
Submit your two knitted method worksheet files in the Canvas M6.5 Lab 6 Remix and Report: Hypothesis Tests Part 1 assignment area.
Important!
Be sure to change the names of the files you submit to include your name, e.g. : Lab6-Paired-Samples-Joe-Parott.pdf and Lab6-ANOVA-Joe-Parott.pdf.
Note: do not submit a “Zip” file. You can submit multiple files in Canvas.
The Lab 6 Hypothesis Tests Part 1 Grading Rubric will be used.
